Further Information:

Established in 1863 as the Greenway Vaults, the pub was then named The Greenway Hotel from at least 1885, and by 1896 it had become The Cleveland Hotel. Bought by Greenall Whitley in 1920, it was closed in 1958 when the area was needed for the approach roads for Runcorn Road Bridge (the Silver Jubilee Bridge).
